Bio
Born Doug Tubb in 1935, Glenn Douglas would go on to have one of the most interesting careers in Country music. Leaving Texas at the age of 12 Doug moved northward to Nashville, TN with his family and father CR Tub. The move would occur so CR could tour manage his younger brother the already legendary Ernest Tub. Doug found himself instantly thrown into a world of Country music stars and songwriters. As Hank Williams sidekick and as a regular fixture backstage at The Grand Ole Pry and at his uncle Earnest's record shop Glenn would rub elbows and be befriended by Country and Folk music’s greatest legends. In the mid 50's as Glenn Douglas (not wanting to ride in on his uncle Earnest's coat tail) Doug would go on to sign with Dot and Decca records and become the only non Sun recording artist to appear on the famous Sun records package tours with such early rock n' roll pioneers as Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis. As a songwriter Glenn Douglas has composed some of Americas most classic Country songs such as: Home Of The Blues (Johnny Cash) and in 1966 the controversial Skip A Rope which would bring Henson Cargill his first and only number one Country song of the year. Glenn Douglas-Tubb is still active today writing songs, performing at songwriter venues in Tennessee and Texas and is currently writing Country music themed musicals which will soon be opening around America.

Glenn is a great storyteller and a damn fine writer and musician. He's also an incredible human being with a big heart. This man has lived a life most people can only dream of.
